What grit do I need?

Use coarse grits for shaping or heavy sanding, medium grits for prep and finer grits for smoothing or finishing. Follow product advice for the material.

Can I use one sheet for everything?

Avoid it. Foam, resin and final finishing usually need different grits and clean sheets.

What is wet-and-dry paper for?

Wet-and-dry paper is useful for smoother finishing and some repair work where a cleaner finish is needed.

Do abrasives suit ding repair too?

Yes. Abrasives are needed for prep, fairing and finishing most resin and fibreglass repairs.

Good sanding is staged. Skipping grits can leave scratches or uneven repairs.
