When should I use a surfboard sock?

Can a sock replace a boardbag?

No. A sock is light protection only. Use a padded boardbag when the board may be knocked, stacked, roof-racked or checked in for travel.

Should the board be dry first?

Yes. Let the board dry before storing it in a sock so moisture is not trapped against the board.
