What size surfboard should I buy?

Use your skill level, weight, current board, wave type and paddling fitness as the starting point. Litres help, but outline and length matter too.

Softboard or hard board for beginners?

Softboards are forgiving and stable. A funboard or mini mal can suit progressing surfers who are ready for a firmer rail and cleaner turning.

Fish, groveller or shortboard?

Fish and grovellers help in smaller or softer waves. Performance shortboards suit stronger surfing and cleaner waves.

Do surfboards include fins?

Check the product listing. Some boards include fins and others need compatible FCS II, Futures, single-fin or 2+1 fins added separately.
